Earth Friendly Pieces in Dances of Color

By: Heather MacIsaac

With Q Collection's first line of furniture and fabrics, it has made green haute. The company, founded by Jesse Johnson, who has a degree from Yale in environmental management, and the interior designer, Anthony Cochran, is dedicated to sustainable production and fine design. The 17 pieces in its Curves collection, with sofas and chairs, tables and stools, come in fabrics that embrace the use of color, putting to rest the notion that natural means neutral.

"We approached this as if we were introducing two close friends from different worlds whom we knew would get along famously," Mr Cochran said. Sustainability meet style.
