Perhaps it was his experience working in a William McDonough-designed sustainable building, or the influence of eco-conscious mentor Paul Wiseman that led Jay Jeffers to Q Collection, makers of "healthy" furnishings. Founded in 2002 by Anthony Cochran and Jesse Johnson, the company's primary goal is to eliminate all toxins and carcinogens from their designs, while still creating stylish products. Their motto: "We combine comfort, design and top quality construction with materials that take into consideration human health and the environment."
